Question by : upgrading ibook G4 from mac os x 10.3.nine to mac os x ten.four.eight?
i just lately received a ibook G4 and i experimented with to hook up my ipod common (sixth era 120gig). A message came up declaring “The ipod “ipod” are not able to be used simply because it calls for Mac OS X 10.four.8 or afterwards”. How can i update my mac from Mac OS x ten.3.nine to Mac OS x 10.4.8?

i have exactly same issue !!! found out from a friend that you need to have to set up a new disc Mac OS x10.4.eight ( i borrowed from him ) and it worked !!!!.
ps : you can not do it using UPDATE.
